Martensville artists Garry and Connie Rector

Garry Rector has been wood carving for 19 years.  He is a member of the Saskatchewan Wildlife Art Association and the Saskatchewan Wood Workers Guild.  His carvings are exquisite and can be found in many privet collections around the world and have won various awards from across North America.  For the past 14 years Garry has also taught  wood carving and enjoys sharing his knowledge with others interested in this field of art.

Connie Rector was born and raised in Saskatoon and has enjoyed art as a rewarding and fulfilling career.  Connie works in various mediums including oils, acrylics, pastels, watercolors and wood carving.  Her paintings are of landscapes, wildlife, domestic animals or still life and have won her various ribbons in many competitions.  The variety of art is her own personal challenge.  Mother nature in all her splendor provides her with the best knowledge available.  Connie also enjoys the art of others and sharing her work.
