Debut showing for Grant Sauvé

Grant Sauvé was born in Rosthern and grew up in the Duck Lake area.  Grant attended the Lac Cheval school till grade 4 at which time the country school closed.  Grant then continued his education in Duck Lake.  Grant now lives on the Lac Cheval school yard and is a carpenter by trade.

As a child Grant loved to draw.  Grant started painting in the winter of 2009 when he was off for awhile due to illness.

Grant decided to paint the three cabins that are still standing in the Nesbit forest.  His father helped to build these cabins and passed away in 1999, so painting them was a way of preserving his memory.  Grant's paintings are from local scenery and places he remembered having visited over the years.  Grant paints mostly scenery in the realism style.
